Gambler sues French casino for his own losses

November 15

This online casinos news article is definitely categorized as the news of the bizarre and crazy. As online casinos players, we should all understand probability and risk. After all when we play at our favorite online casinos and land casinos, we are assuming a certain amount of risk. We chose to play at online casinos right?

Well, in France, there is a player that feels that the casino he played at is responsible for his money losses. This guy has balls. By balls, we don't mean the little silver ones that are spun in roulette tables either.

Yes, it seems that a 44 year-old French casino gambler is in existence with the belief that the casino he chose to wager his money at is responsible for his personal loss.

Yesterday, he officially filed papers in court stating that he feels that the casino failed to stop him from losing his cash.

Jean-Philippe Bryk, is claiming that the Grand Cafe casino in the spa town of Vichy owed him a duty of (and we quote) information, advice and loyalty.

See, he won some £11,000 on his first two visits to the casino ten years ago, but lost nearly £500,000 over the next eight years.

Will someone please wake this poor soul out of his delusional dream. Yes, land casinos and even online casinos attract us to them with generous bonus deals and the latest adverts on the huge jackpots we could win if we patronize them, but come on.

This story is tragic, we all empathize with Mr. Bryk on some level, but any online casino player worth a grain of salt must understand that the casino (whether on land or off-shore) is not at fault for our inability to say no.
