Absolute
Poker
Update
November
25,
2007
Poor
Absolute
Poker,
they
just
can’t
seem
to
get
a
handle
on
what
is
going
on
over
there.
First
it
looked
as
though
someone
may
have
been
cheating,
but
the
company
assured
everyone
that
this
had
not
happened.
Then
the
hand
history
was
requested
and
it
seems
that
this
was
no
longer
available.
Then
they
announced
that
it
was.
These
things
on
their
own
may
not
be a
huge
deal,
but
together
simply
shows
that
the
company
is
having
some
internal
communication
and
security
issues
that
they
have
to
address.
A
few
things
that
we
have
been
alerted
to
are
that
the
person
who
breached
their
security
was
an
employee
of
the
online
gambling
company
and
has
since
been
fired
from
his
position.
The
person
who
left
him
in
charge
of
the
site
was
his
superior,
and
the
two
were
reportedly
friends.
The
superior
has
been
removed
from
his
position
pending
a
full
investigation
and
will
no
longer
be
running
the
company
for
a
significant
period
of
time.
The
online
gambling
company
is
not
releasing
any
names
at
this
time,
but
it
is
known
that
the
person
responsible
for
this
has
both
cashed
out
a
large
amount
of
money,
and
tried
to
delete
the
accounts
that
were
in
the
scam.
Those
players
that
were
cheated
during
the
game
will
be
repaid
all
of
their
money,
and
the
online
gambling
community
is
not
fully
aware
of
the
extent
of
those
involved
in
the
cheating.
As
the
online
gambling
company
is
worth
more
than
a
billion
dollars,
it
would
behoove
them
to
have
better
checks
and
balances
than
this.
It
seems
that
they
could
be
looking
at a
major
downfall
in
revenue
not
just
because
someone
cheated
on
their
site,
but
for
how
they
handled
the
situation.
The
online
gambling
company
is
in
the
midst
of
being
audited
right
now,
by
an
outside
firm.
However,
the
site
asked
to
be
audited
before
they
were
told
that
they
were
going
to
be.
It
seems
that
if
they
had
anything
to
hide
they
would
never
have
asked
for
the
audit
at
all.
