Now it is clear that they are going to, as they have made an announcement that makes it so. During the opeing of the Castilla y Leon Gaming Congress in Corsese, a statement was made that confirmed the legalization of online gambling. Justice and Home Affairs Councillor Alfonso Fernandez Manueco said that they would be working toward legislation that would legalize and regulate online gambling. They are looking to add it to the Castilla y Leon region and it will assuredly spread from there. There are many that have been asking for online gambling to be legalized in the region, and they were hoping that the latest meeting of the Gaming Congress might be the catalyst that would make it so. There were many gaming companies in attendance at the meeting, and many saw that as a sign that the legalization would go through. The online gambling companies said that they were on hand to discuss where they were at the moment and to �establish a framework that [would] ensure future growth.� They say that they are most interested in how the new technologies will work as well as how they might be able to keep their players safe. They know that online gambling addiction is very real and they want to be able to have checks and balances in place to keep that from becoming an epidemic in both the region and the country. |
