They say that it is time that an international agency stepped in to fight against illegal online gambling and match fixing. They say that the industry is ripe with corruption and they want to see someone come clean it up.
Because illegal online gambling is such a big money maker for the criminal gangs, there is no way that they are ever going to stop on their own. Experts say that the amount of online gambling going on truly threatens the �integrity of sport.�
At a recent conference in Switzerland, the countries affected say that there is illegal online gambling going on from everything from simply soccer matches to the Olympics and these people are influencing and negatively affecting the games. They say that they need an agency that works to investigate and eliminate all betting related corruption across all of the sports that are out there.
They say that the illegal online gambling is not limited to one or two sports or events, that it covers a whole host of games which creates even more problems for the sporting industry. The online gambling companies would like to see FIFA and the International Olympic Committee get more involved in getting lawmakers to regulate online gambling and sports betting.
They say that with their influence over who gets the World Cup or Olympic games, only those countries that comply with the regulations as they are set forth for legal online gambling would be in consideration � otherwise they will be passed by until they are in compliance. |
