Payment Processor Targeted

Atrium Financial Group is the latest target of the United States Department of Justice, and how they went about attacking them is all kinds of wrong. They have been setting their sights on the various online gambling transactions that are located within the United States and are seizing the bank accounts of anyone that might be associated with the industry.
Those players that were unlucky enough to have bank accounts with Atrium discovered the hard way that they were in fact now out of their winnings as the government had seized them. However, many want to know why the accounts were left open. The government seized them in an attempt to “protect” their citizens, yet they didn’t stop the deposits from coming into the accounts which means that they wanted to protect them from everyone that might take their money – except the US Government.
The way they discovered the accounts was by going through Golden Casino and trying to get an account to see where the money was held. They were coming out of Louisiana and as online gambling is illegal there the automatic software that the online gambling site uses kept denying them their request. However, after inundating the casino with the numerous attempts to get access, one got through and the government seized their funds.
There was a little more than $365,000 in the account, so in the grand scheme of things it was probably one of their smaller accounts. The only reason we know how they went about getting their access is that the court documents for the seizure are open to the public.
