state of Pennsylvania.
The
demand for accelerated
review of the legality of
former state Rep. Jeffrey W.
Coy's appointment to the
Gaming Control Board came in
under a week after a
Commonwealth Court judge
threw out a lawsuit by
Attorney General Jerry
Pappert taxing the choice as
unconstitutional.
Judge
James J. Flaherty, who had
already ruled on the topic,
said that the case was not
ready for review by a judge
because Coy's position won't
even become sanctioned until
a mandatory state background
check is concluded.
