Poker legend Jack Binion, who was the first host of the World Series of Poker at Binion's Horseshoe, has agreed to host the tournament that was just announced the World Series of Poker tournament circuit organized by Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

Previously, Binion ran Binion's Horseshoe and started the World Series of Poker prior to giving control of the assets to his sister Becky. Becky relinquished the property last March to MTR Gaming Group. Then Harrah's purchased the licensing rights to the Series and the Horseshoe name in Nevada. Now, Harrah's runs Binion's Horseshoe, they recently formed a nationwide series of poker events ending with the World Series of Poker in the summer of 2005.

It is being reported by Harrah's that Binion will be donating his time and efforts to the Series for basically no charge.
