High Roller seeks revenge on Vegas with new TV show

October 18

After losing over $3 million during a 3 year gambling spree during the years of 1997 to 1999, Daren Leverenz is back to stake his claim on getting it back and more. He truly believes he can beat Vegas at its own game. Why would such a person advertise that he was seeking revenge to get his money back? Many online gambling news readers are wondering just that. Maybe it is to get attention...

Well, it is because he has a TV series planned around the very idea of getting the best out of Vegas. The show, Man Vs. Vegas, which premiers Friday, October 21 at 10PM on CMT.

Of course, the 35 year old Leverenz is the star of this new TV series. It will have 8 episodes, where he attempts to win back the fortune he lost from gambling in Sin City. Since the major lose of cash, Leverenz has repaired his finances and liquidated all of his assets to build a nest egg of about $1 million for his TV venture. When you think of all the casino related shows on TV that have done so well financially, maybe he has a shot. Many online gambling fans think the idea is a fresh one.

In the series Leverenz grabs tourists at random and gives them large amounts of cash to play in the casinos for him. If they win, he gives them a cut. Not bad for the unsuspecting tourist whose chosen - they don't have to lose their own money.

Leverenz made his money through good investments in the Internet market in the '90s. He calls himself an adrenaline addict from his gambling past. It all started when he gambled $2,000 on a birthday and he turned it into $180,000. Things hit rock bottom when he lost a staggering $250,000 in on day at the Bellagio grand opening.

The series was filmed at the Plaza and Aladdin casinos. We will be watching.
