Creating
Online
Gambling
Jobs
for
Ireland
October
12,
2007
Veridigm
has
announced
that
they
are
relocating
their
Canadian
based
online
gaming
and
software
company
to
Dublin.
Not
only
are
they
relocating
the
company,
but
they
will
also
be
creating
100
new
jobs
for
area
residents.
The
company
can
think
of
no
better
place
for
them
to
start
with
a
clean
slate,
as
they
transfer
company
types.
Veridigm
has
been
primarily
a
telemedicine
software
company
up
until
now,
but
has
decided
to
evolve
into
an
online
gambling
company
that
specializes
in
slots
and
bingo.
They
want
to
change
the
way
they
are
viewed
and
they
think
that
this
move
is
the
best
thing
they
could
do
for
themselves.
The
company
also
wants
to
take
advantage
of
the
software
boom
that
has
been
sweeping
Dublin,
as
more
and
more
companies
have
been
looking
into
relocating
their
online
gambling
operations
there
as
well.
Some
thought
that
Dublin
had
missed
the
mark
when
it
came
to
online
casinos
and
their
operations,
but
it
seems
that
they
are
just
getting
started.
Alise
Mills,
VP
of
Corporate
Communications
for
the
company
says
that
“Dublin
is a
leading
city
in
the
online
[gambling]
software…industry”
and
that
they
are
bound
and
determined
to
be
part
of
that
wave.
Mills
says
that
the
company
sees
it
as a
perfect
fit,
in
addition
to
getting
them
around
and
away
from
the
latest
set
of
online
gambling
rules
that
the
US
has
passed.
They
have
decided
that
Vancouver
will
be
their
secondary
home,
with
Dublin
as
their
headquarters.
Veridigm
is
following
on
the
heels
of
Tiltware,
which
moved
to
Dublin
last
year
and
created
200
jobs
for
residents.
