Sportsbook.com
Accused
of
Stealing
October
26,
2007
The
company
Eye
On
Gambling
is
accusing
the
online
gambling
company
Sportsbook.com
of
stealing
and
urges
all
of
their
fellow
online
gambling
industry
companions
to
boycott
the
company
until
they
pay
restitution
for
those
that
they
wronged
by
their
recent
behavior.
It
seems
that
Sportsbook.com
is
accused
of
stealing
money
from
31
different
online
gambling
accounts,
and
the
company
has
admitted
to
doing
so.
They
took
money
from
the
accounts
in
the
amount
of
hundreds
of
thousands
of
dollars,
and
EOG
says
that
they
have
to
be
held
accountable
for
their
behavior.
They
say
that
as
Sportsbook.com
was
one
of
their
advertisers
they
are
now
choosing
to
disassociate
themselves
with
the
online
gambling
company
and
will
be
paying
back
their
clients
with
what
little
money
they
have
left
over
from
Sportsbook.com’s
advertising
budget
with
their
company.
They
say
that
they
cannot
condone
the
behavior,
and
therefore
must
distance
themselves
from
the
company.
They
say
that
if
the
online
gambling
company
chooses
to
rectify
the
situation,
they
will
rethink
their
position
on
the
matter,
but
not
until
that
time.
They
say
that
the
company
has
admitted
to
retroactively
canceling
winning
parlays
because
there
was
“a
higher
than
normal
correlation
between
certain
events.”
The
online
gambling
company
should
have
simply
adjusted
their
software
and
moved
on,
instead
of
taking
the
money
out
of
their
player’s
accounts.
