Avoid Blacklisted Sites

October
29, 2009

Since the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act or UIGEA the landscape of the online gambling world has changed. It used to be that you could go to pretty much any online gambling site that was approved by eCOGRA and know that you were playing at a quality site. BUt once the UIGEA was passed most of the quality online gambling sites left the market, leaving United States' players with very little to choose from that was still quality.

There are those online gambling sites that stayed that are quality but sometimes it can be tough to weed them out when trying to figure out which side is best for you. Quality online gambling sites have excellent customer service and top notch games, but unfortunately those sites that are not up to par might appear to have those same things. One must be extra cautious when choosing an online gambling site.

There are online gambling sites that are considered blacklisted where the industry itself is recommending that you do not patronize them. These online gambling sites are there simply to steal from you and/or just don't have a good reputation for following through on their promises. It could be that when it comes time for a payout they are not especially forthcoming, or it could be the suspect of shady dealings within their organization.

What needs to happen is that the UIGEA is overturned and the online gambling industry is regulated. This would make it safe and secure or all who choose to participate.
