New Online Gambling Services

The Australian government is concerned by the number of people who are addicted to online gambling. They have decided to offer a new online gambling counseling service which will provide support and advice to those that have difficulty sticking within a reasonable budget when gambling. They are offering these online gambling counseling sessions and services across the country of Australia.
Many are excited by the move as Australia has long been seen as one of those countries that has a high incidence of online gambling addiction, but very little services to deal with it. It has been hard for them to seek help when they realize that they might have some form of online gambling addiction, but now they will have a free service that will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Not only will they now have access to these online gambling counselors, but they can do it either anonymously or register their real names; the choice is up to them. They counselors will be funded through an agreement between the Rudd Government and State and Territory Governments.
In addition to this new online gambling counseling, the government is also looking to add on additional measures to protect their citizens. They are looking to reduce the maximum bet limits and spin rates, a ban on online gaming machine advertising, and banning ATMs from gaming venues by 2012. Proponents of the move are excited because they say that it has been long overdue.
