Just today, Boyd Gaming Corp., reported that it felt its Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, Louisiana was not extensively damaged as a result of the massive hurricane that ripped the area early Monday morning. This somewhat good news comes at a time when all online gambling players are waiting for any good to come from this tragic event.
Even though the casino is in fair condition, no one can guess when they will see the day when gambling casinos are full again in the stricken area of the world.
William S. Boyd, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming, announced that the company was completely concerned for the health and safety of its employees above all. To help them in the mean time, he added that the company will continue to pay its Treasure Chest employees for the next two months regardless of the status of the gambling hall.
Boyd Gaming has even put together a hotline 1 800 491 0711 for its employess. Additionally, the thoughtful gaming company has set up a relief center at Sam's Town Tunica in Mississippi, where its property has a large area for special events.
Finally, Boyd Gaming has posted all of the relief information on its web site at boydgaming.com, along with additional information regarding relief aid. Now if we could get our Gov't to do the same. Good job - Boyd! You give all of us online gambling players a sudden urge to play at your facility some day.
