Ad Campaign Not so Bright

Online gambling should be legalized, not just because of the fact that it would bring in billions of dollars for the United States every year, but because it is the right thing to do. There are people out there who enjoy playing at online gambling, and by telling them that they can't you are telling them what they are not allowed to do within the privacy of their own home. No one has the right to tell you what you can do with your money if you're not breaking an actual law. Obviously if you're using your money to hire someone to kill someone else, that would be breaking the law. By not allowing people to participate in online gambling because someone has a moral objection to it, that is just wrong.
The Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative has a new series of ads that they think are going to change people's minds about online gambling. Instead of simply coming out and saying that no one has the right to tell you what you can do in the privacy of your own home, with the money that you have that earned; they came out with ads that say basically the government needs more money which is why you should legalize it.
No one is going to legalize online gambling based on the fact that the government needs more money. Over the past eight years we have seen our government spend our money ridiculously which has gotten us into the mess that we are in now. Unchecked spending, up until now, has been allowed by our government, so it is not a reason to legalize online gambling. The new ads that are out there pushing for that are simply going to alienate people.
Online gambling should be legal because people like it and it isn't doing anyone any harm by having it legal. Those people who don't want to see online gambling don't have to participate. It's like saying that all alcohol should be illegal because some people don't want to drink. Online gambling should be legal because it's the right thing to do.
