Deal with Harrah’s Good for Online Gambling

Any time an online gambling casino enters into a deal with a big name company it is going to be good for the industry. Such is the case with the deal just made between Harrah’s Entertainment and the online casino 888.com. The deal not only bodes well for the online gambling site themselves, but also for the industry as a whole.
Harrah’s Entertainment has signed a deal with the online gambling casino 888, where as they will now supply the software for the site that the land-based casino wants to start. Harrah's is easily the world's biggest casino company so by making this move they have just brought clout to the industry and hope to millions of online gambling fans.
They are currently lobbying Congress to allow land-based casinos to offer online gambling. They say that if they are already able to offer gambling to clients within the United States, why shouldn't they be allowed to offer it online as well. Their argument is that they have already passed the tasks, and have proved themselves as reputable entities in the gambling arena, therefore they are the safe choice for the online gambling arena.
The online the gambling company 888, is equally as excited by the move. Not only has their stock climbed 14%, but this could be their way back into the US online gambling industry. By supplying Harrah's with online gambling in the form of poker and casino services, this could get them the foothold that they so desperately desire.
