Disney and CryptoLogic

With the surprise announcement that Disney had purchased Marvel many people were completely shocked and wondered what this would mean for those who already had deals with the comic book empire. Places like Universal's Islands of Adventure said that they were not overly concerned because they had a contract in place. However, others are not on as un-shaky ground and are wondering what this means for them.
CryptoLogic is one of those companies that is wondering what will become of their slot machines. The online gambling software company knows that they may have to let go of their current franchise. The online gambling company had a deal with the comic book company to use the various Marvel characters in the various themed slot machines that they offered at their online gambling sites. However, it is not known whether or not Disney will allow this to continue.
Many of the companies that have deals in place, these deals will not be affected, at least not immediately. However, with Disney being considered such a family-friendly kind of company, one can be pretty positive that they are not going to want to be associated with online gambling. It is not known how long of a deal that CryptoLogic has with the company, but either way, they will be looking at a large moneymaker going away.
Some experts believe that Disney may decide to keep it because it would be a large revenue maker for the company, but it's that association with online gambling that really could do them in. I guess we will have to wait and see what is more important to the company -money or reputation.
