No More Online Gambling Dens

September 12, 2009

The Pahang government has made it very clear that they do not want to online gambling in their country. They have said that they will go door-to-door if necessary to crack down on the numerous online gambling establishments that still remain. Those that are caught to be running illegal online gambling dens will be arrested, and they will go to jail.

The government believes that online gambling is one of the worst things that can happen to their country. They say the online gambling breeds addiction, which then destroys the home life and causes crime. They say that they will do whatever it takes to eliminate all online gambling.

Their latest bust was on Monday where they arrested 14 people in an online gambling den that was being run illegally. The police took 22 computers from two locations that were being used at the illegal online gambling den. The police said that when they came in, many of them tried to escape, but they managed to apprehend all of them. Those that were arrested were between the ages of 18 and 39.

The first location netted them 11 illegal online gamblers as well as 13 computers, and the second location gave them another three gamblers and nine computers. The first location was in Ringlet and the second was in Tanah Rata. The police say that those people who continue to participate in these illegal online gambling dens will find that they will eventually get all of them. They say that those who continue to gamble are gambling at their own risk.
